Your generic fills, checked line by line.

Every fill measured against NADAC, the federal acquisition benchmark — the ones costing you money surface first.

I · The problem

Pharmacies don't lose money in obvious places. They lose it in small print.

Four ways the federal data shows you exactly where it goes.

01

MAC reimbursement below cost

PBM "maximum allowable cost" tables can lag NADAC by 30–60 days. You dispense, the claim pays under what you paid the wholesaler, and the loss surfaces a quarter later — buried in 800-line statements no one reads.

−$1,891/ mo · Atorvastatin 10mg

02

Spread expansion clauses

Mid-contract amendments quietly widen the gap between what the PBM bills the plan and what they pay you. The clause is two paragraphs; the impact is your busiest months.

−$612/ mo · Sertraline 50mg

Illustrative · methodology

03

Shortage substitutions at lower margins

When a generic goes short, the brand or alternate strength is what you dispense. Reimbursement caps from 18 months ago do not recompute. The variance lives quietly inside "Other adjustments."

−$1,420/ mo · Apixaban 2.5mg

04

DIR / GER recoupments

Direct and Indirect Remuneration claw-backs land in lump sums six months after the prescription cleared. Without a 90-day rolling baseline, you cannot tell which contracts to renegotiate vs. which to walk.

II · How it works

Ten minutes to connect.
An hour to read the truth.

No EHR integration. No IT project. No "platform migration." You export a CSV; we do the math.

STEP 01

Connect your dispensing data

CSV export from PioneerRx, BestRx, or Liberty. No EHR integration, no IT project, no per-claim API calls.

≈ 10 min

STEP 02

We join it to 13 federal data sources

NADAC, ASP, NDC Directory, Orange Book, Drug Shortages — all current, refreshed on each federal source’s cadence, all already loaded.

Automatic

STEP 03

Read the underwater report

Every NDC ranked by margin. Every PBM ranked by spread. Every claim ranked by recovery probability.

≈ 30 min reading

STEP 04

Draft appeals, renegotiate contracts

Pro tier auto-drafts MAC appeals. Pro+ parses contracts and flags the spread clauses you missed.

III · Pricing

One line per tier. No asterisks.

Three tiers, one price each, no per-seat math.

Most owners

Pro

$79/mo

Per location · monthly

Everything a one-location independent needs to stop bleeding and start recovering.

Pro+

$149/mo

Per location · monthly

For small chains, compliance-heavy operations, and pharmacies that need the vault.

IV · Questions

The five things every pharmacist asks.

What data does MarkupRx use?
We aggregate 13 federal data sources — NADAC, ASP, NDC Directory, Orange Book, Drug Shortages, VA FSS, Federal Upper Limit, IRA MFP, and the CMS Medicaid State Drug Utilization Data — joined on RxNorm RXCUI. No PBM data, no proprietary AWP, no vendor lookups.
How does pricing work?
Free for 15 days, no card. Pro is $79/mo per location, Pro+ is $149/mo per location. Cancel anytime — we mean it. No per-claim pricing, no overage billing.
Do I need to integrate with my dispensing software?
No. You export a CSV from PioneerRx, BestRx, or Liberty (we support both UI-style and API-style column headers). MarkupRx reads the file. There's no EHR integration, no IT project, and no per-claim API charges.
Is my data secure?
MarkupRx processes only public federal datasets (NADAC, Medicare Part D, FDA NDC, RxNorm) — no PHI, no patient names, no Rx numbers. Encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We never sell or share your data. Deletion is a single click in Settings → Privacy.
What's the difference between Pro and Pro+?
Pro is for one-location independents. Pro+ adds unlimited PBM contract parse, the Appeal Vault (audit-ready archive of every appeal you file), quarterly compliance package, and a named support rep. Most one-location pharmacies don't need Pro+.
